Create a question set with AI

You do not have to write every question yourself. In the Playground, Create with AI turns a short description into a ready-to-play custom question set in seconds, matched to the game format you picked.

It sits right alongside the manual form and CSV import, so you can mix and match: generate a set, then tweak a few by hand, or top it up with your own questions.

How to use it

  1. In the Playground, start creating a custom game (or open an existing one to edit it).
  2. On the questions step, find the Create with AI panel.
  3. Describe your topic or brief, for example "90s hip-hop for a work party" or "GCSE biology: cells and genetics".
  4. Optionally pick a difficulty and how many questions you want.
  5. Click Generate. In a few seconds you get a preview.
  6. Add the questions to your set, Regenerate for a fresh take, or adjust your brief and try again. Nothing is saved until you add it.

Every generated question is fully editable. You can change wording, fix an answer, or delete anything before or after adding it.

Which games support it

AI generation supports nine game types: Trivia, Unscramble, Missing Letter, Odd One Out, Sub-Words, Taboo, Charades, Song Association, and Find the Mole.

AI credits

Each generation uses one AI credit, and a credit is only used when a generation succeeds. A failed or rate-limited request costs you nothing.

PlanAI creditsQuestions per request
Free5 per monthUp to 25
Party10 per passUp to 50
Pro50 per renewalUp to 50
Enterprise1000 per monthUp to 50

Free and Enterprise allowances reset each calendar month. Party and Pro credits are added to a saved balance that stays until you spend it. Free uses a fast model so you can try the feature; paid plans use our strongest model for higher-quality results. Your remaining credits are shown right on the generate panel, along with when they refresh.

You can always keep typing or uploading your own questions without using any credits.

What happens if something looks off

If the model returns an item that does not fit the game's format, that item is skipped rather than failing the whole batch. The preview shows how many items were skipped and why, and you can expand the list to see each reason.

Tips for better results

  • Be specific about the audience and vibe ("friendly office trivia", "hard film-buff questions").
  • Name the subject area clearly. Narrow topics ("Premier League 2010s") tend to produce sharper sets than very broad ones.
  • Generate, then edit. AI gets you 90% of the way; a quick pass makes it yours.

Is the content safe?

Generated questions are kept friendly and age-appropriate for a general audience. If something isn't quite right, edit or remove it, or regenerate with a clearer brief.
